Song smithing began in my teens, influenced by a continuous exposure to Phil Spector's girl groups and Motowns 'shang-a-langs'. But my involvement and influence in music actually evolved from the time I was 10 years old, singing in a group with my two older sisters, the oldest who accompanied our performances on an acoustic guitar.

By age 15 I was self taught on guitar and soon started writing...and writing...and writing... material that changed along with my life and the influences that followed:  Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins,Sandy Denny, Sarah McLaughlin, and many others who have and continue to add to my sphere of influence.

Song smithing is a priveledge, a conduit for Spirit and heart packed into a powerful medium resulting from the creative contributions of the many talented musicians who have helped me to realize them.  The song begins with me but the song is crafted by many and ultimately reaches its full potential with you, the listener.
