Barry Collins has been a part of the Floyd County music scene since the 70's.  He formed Upland Express which has transformed itself thru the years, playing everything from bluegrass to folk, to southern rock.

Barry has played with everyone from Tony Rice and Sammy Shelor, to Ricky Simpkins and Kenny & Amanda Smith.  He is a highly sought after studio musician as well as a fantastic backkup singer . He is as comfortable behind a bass or guitar as he is with the banjo . Sammy Shelor said,"Barry plays backup as well as anyone I've ever known. He knows what to play and how to play it."

Barry is currently working on his first solo project which will feature a lot of the great talent he has played with through the years.

What can you say?  This is one great musician as well as a great friend. You won't find a nicer guy anywhere.
